Lindsay Lohan is denying that there is any reason for the SCRAM alcohol monitoring bracelet to have gone off while at a party following the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday evening.
The 23-year-old actress had been banned from drinking under the conditions of her recent probation for a drink/driving conviction and was given a $100,000 bail term.
It is still unclear if the American had been drinking alcohol or if the device had been tampered with, however, Lohan’s attorney along with a prosecutor and a judge spent 30 minutes in chamber before reaching the decision to increase the bail to $200,000, allowing the actress to stay out of jail if she pays the higher amount.
Lohan has protested her innocence on her Twitter page where she wrote;
“It’s physically impossible considering I’ve nothing for it to go off (sic). All these false reports are absolutely wrong.
‘This is all because of a FALSE accusation by tabloids & paparazzi & it is (expletive) disgusting.
‘I’ve been more than I’m compliance (sic) & feeling great.”
