It has been claimed that Lindsay Lohan was accused of allegedly taking a £5,000 coat that wasn’t hers from a party she attended at a New York bar.
The owner of the coat, Marsha Markova, went to collect her mink at the club 10ak, where she was attending a friends birthday party on January 26, but couldn’t find it.
A couple of weeks later, Ms. Markova saw a picture of Lohan who had also been at the party, wearing an identical coat a few days after the event. Ms. Markova said “I was actually talking on the phone to my grandmother about something else, and I flipped through a magazine, saw the picture and said ‘I need to call you back,”
Ms. Markova called the owners of the 10ak club and later called her lawyer who, allegedly called Lohan’s lawyer threatening legal action if the coat wasn’t returned. Several hours later, she received a phone call from the 10ak club to say “We’re going to bring you something”. She said “They were very discreet, never mentioned a name or even the word ‘coat’”.
A couple of day later, the coat arrived at her door, but reeking of cigarettes and alcohol with a slight tear in the lining. Ms. Markova now has apparently asked for £5,000 for the unauthorised hire of the coat.
Stupid to think she would get away with allegedly taking a coat like that, but to be photographed in it, several times!
