Heidi Montag certainly seems to have an addiction to plastic surgery. On one particular day she boasted that she had ten different plastic surgery treatments, and before she even turned twenty-one she had been through a nose job, had injections of collagen into her lips and undergone a breast enhancement to give her an extra cup size.

She has had almost every part of her body restructured by plastic surgery, including several facial surgeries and chin, waist, hips, buttocks and thigh remodelling. She told reporters that she does love her body and is proud of it, but these adjustments give her extra confidence, so they are worth it although the recovery from surgery can be very painful.

Plastic surgery is more common and more accepted in the US than it is in UK and many places like Los Angeles Plastic Surgery offer a range of procedures, many of which do not involve surgery as such, but are carried out by injecting various agents, including collagen to perform the procedure.

There are some very gruesome anecdotal tales about plastic surgery and what happens when it all goes wrong. Although it does go wrong on the odd occasion, most plastic surgery procedures are considered safe provided that they are done by a competent plastic surgeon. It’s the same as any other surgery so the surgeon needs to be properly qualified and to have back up in case things go wrong. Provided these things are checked out properly, plastic surgery is as safe as any other surgical operation.

Nobody knows what Heidi Montag’s next project will be, because she has almost nothing left to remodel. Perhaps she will start remodelling the remodelling and change her image that way. It might, as she says, help to improve her self confidence but it is a very expensive and painful way to do it.
