Paul Danan, the former Hollyoaks actor and Celebrity Love Island contestant has allegedly made a show of himself again, by being drunk while judging a beauty contest.
The 26-year-old, was at Derby County’s Pride Park Stadium to judge the MissStudentUK.com contest, but became involved in a row over his fee and was accused of being rude to contestants. He was asked to leave the venue and the police were called but he refused to go.
Graham Townsend, the Company Director of the contest was quoted as saying “Halfway through the night I was alerted to the fact that he [Danan] was drunk. I asked him if he was all right and could continue to be with us and do the judging as required and he said yes, he was.”
“But unfortunately he started to be rude to contestants. We have had emails from contestants since saying how he was rude to them. We had a wide audience and it was a good family show and his attitude was not good.”
Mr Danan said in response “I was there to do a job and they did not want to pay me because I was not the Celebrity Love Island person they wanted me to be. I am not that person any more. It’s all completely untrue.”
A Derbyshire Police spokesperson said “I can confirm that we were called after he [Paul Danan] was asked to leave but we didn’t take any action because he had not committed any offences. I understand he came to some arrangement with the people who got him there and then he left.”

Oh what a surprise. Another drunken crass has-been celebrity. Then again, was he ever anything special to begin with? I’d like to see a new reality show: Drunken Has-Been Celebrity Island. They could even set up their own alcohol rehab center and have that be some sort of timeout or something when they acted up. I’d like to see that one…
