It was announced that the larger than life TV Presenter Vanessa Feltz had been fitted with a gastric band in June of this year after her weight ballooned.

For most people, this is the last resort to win their weight battle but it seems with Ms. Feltz it’s more of a competition after the 48-year-old posted on her Twitter page yesterday;

Lee Ryan, a member of the boy band ‘Blue’, has been charged with assault after allegedly attacking his girlfriend Samantha Miller.

The 27-year-old singer is to appear on bail at the City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court next Friday for the incident where he was said to have hit Samantha while the couple were driving through the West End of London on Wednesday night with the singer being charged the following day.

A spokesperson for Ryan said;

“Lee 100% denies common assault. He will be fighting these charges.”

The couple have been together since the Autumn of 2007 after meeting on a social networking site and a year later they had a son together.  Their relationship has hit the headlines on other occasions after they were spotted having a huge row in the street outside the Mayfair Hotel.

Further problems occurred when Ryan was discovered to be the father of a secret daughter born three-years previously following a DNA test.

California Gurlz singer Katy Perry has said in an interview with the UK’s Q Music Magazine that while her current album is about all things sweet, she would like her next effort to be meat themed and would even like the CD to smell of sausages!

The qiurky American singer says “CDs are over but not if they smell original” and adds that despite her fiance being vegetarian, she would like to appear on the CD cover wearing a ‘bacon bikini’, instead of the usual nipple pasties I presume.

It is small wonder that Perry has such a perverse sense of humour, not only is she engaged to equally quirky UK comedian Russell Brand, but she also reveals to Rolling Stone magazine that she grew up in a far from conventional household.

Perry says that she grew up in a strict but nutty home, where her minister parents ’spoke in tongues’. Speaking in tongues is as normal to me as ‘Pass the salt’ is to others, says Perry and she then adds, “A lot of religions use meditation or chanting. It’s a secret, direct prayer language to God. My dad speaks in tongues and my mom interprets it. That’s their gift.”

Both of Perry’s parents are freelance ministers and she remembers that things were not always great financially for the family, saying “Sometimes we ate from the same food bank we used to feed our congregation and I was very embarrassed by that.”

As a child Katy’s parents disliked her using the word ‘lucky’ she reveals, “My mother would rather us say that we were blessed, and she also didn’t like that lucky sounded like Lucifer. Devilled eggs were called ‘Angelled eggs’ and I wasn’t allowed to eat Lucky Charms, but I think that was the sugar. My mom lied to me about that one.”

Katie Price made an appearance on ‘This Morning’ yesterday and as usual opened her mouth before her brain was in gear by stating that children who’s parents are divorced are lucky really as they get extra presents and trips etc.

During her interview with Eamon Holmes and his wife Ruth Langsford, the model admitted that she did not speak to her ex-husband Peter Andre, it was all done through solicitors.

Katie aka Jordan, appeared on the show to promote her new book which of course has not been written by her and declared that the sales are going really well, despite reports in the media that this is not the case.

Mrs Reid also defended her use of botox after telling the couple that she “looked like a chipmunk” she went onto say that as it’s not permanent there is nothing wrong with it, before blaming her family and friends for having more!

Despite her recent single being released and flopping, the model pledged that she would carry on singing as she enjoyed doing it, never mind about the rest of us then!

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan arrived at the Los Angeles jail yesterday to serve her 90-day sentence after breaking her parole when it was announced that her prison term is likely to be reduced due to overcrowding at the Lynwood correctional centre.

The 24-year-old could be out by the 1st-2nd August depending on good behaviour although the actress is being kept apart from the rest of the inmates for security reasons.

The prison was closed down for an hour as Lohan arrived in handcuffs amid cheers from her fellow inmates before being searched and dressed in the jail uniform of an orange jumpsuit.

The child-actress was in tears as she arrived before being photographed and led to her special needs cell which is the usual place for celebrity inmates and notorious prisoners.

Lohan will still have to serve the 90 day rehab term following her release with her father Michael pledging his support for his daughter and a promise to visit her every day if she will agree to see him despite her insistence that she does not want anything to do with him.
