Coldplay frontman, Chris Martin lived up to his moody reputation when he walked out of an interview on the Radio 4 arts show, Front Row, while live on air.

The presenter, John Wilson, was asking typically pretentious questions about Coldplay’s new album, ‘Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends, when Chris just got up and walked out, mumbling that ‘he doesn’t really like to talk about things’.

I would suggest Chris Martin and Coldplay do not use pretentious titles for their albums if they do not want to answer such questions. If only he had called the new album ‘Yellow’ the question might have been ‘What is your favourite colour?”!

Fortunately he remembered just in time for the last question that he was actually there to promote the release of the album and the Viva La Vida world tour kicking off in Los Angeles on 14 July 2008. Coldplay Tickets are available from Viagogo

Amy Winehouse hit the press again this week after punching a fan while performing at Glastonbury on Saturday.

The 24 year old star began her set well and oozed confidence but got progressively worse towards the end. The self destructive singer became lazy, began to slur, spit and became seemingly agitated during the gig.

During a terrible performance of Rehab she jumped down to the security pit to greet her fans. This is when she is reported to have punched a fan in the face.

I have read three accounts of what happened to date. Amy’s spokesman has commented that she lashed out when a fan tried to pull her hair causing her to react as she did.
Michael Eavis festival boss said “The man deserved it. He grabbed amy’s breasts as she went past.”
The third story is from another fan, who was in the front row. She said it was a girl that was attacked by Winehouse for trying to innocently high-five her!

The troubled artist is now back at her london clinic and faces no police charges for the attack. The Avon and Somerset police will not be pursuing an investigation as no complaints have been received.

Lee Ryan, the boyband singer of Blue, was convicted of punching a taxi driver during a road rage argument on New Year’s Eve.

The 25-year-old was found guilty after the two day trial at Guilford’s Magistrate’s Court in Surrey, and was ordered to pay £300 compensation to Naeem Ibraham and £450 costs.  He also has to pay a surcharge of £15, which goes to victims of crime.

Ryan allegedly told the hearing that he punched the cab driver in self-defence after an argument over a minor traffic accident in  which Ryan’s Fiancee drove into the back of the taxi.

Yesterday, saw two Championship footballers charged with burglary after items were stolen from a staff room at a nightclub.

Bradley Wright-Phillips, 23, and Nathan Dyer, 20, both players for Southampton, were charged after allegedly being filmed on CCTV at the Bar Bluu Club in Southsea, Hampshire, entering an unlocked staff room with friends. Items belonging to staff supposedly went missing, including 3 mobile phones, cash of £145, student cards and cigarettes.

Wright-Phillips, the son of Ian and brother of Shaun and Dyer, were questioned by police on the March 25 and appeared yesterday at Portsmouth Central police station where they were charged. They are due to appear at Portsmouth Magastrate’s Court on July 8.

Both players have been fined two weeks wages and were dropped for one match by Southampton Football Club for late night socialising, although with Wright-Phillips earning £8,000 a week and Dyer earning £5,000 a week, it’s hardly going to break them.

Ian Wright-Philips has said “I will stick by him. My conscience is clean because I know he did not steal anything and he knows he has made a major mistake”.

The 44-year-old former footballer described his son’s disciplinary behaviour as “disgraceful” and told about his concerns at the footballers lifestyles.

According to recent newspaper reports, Bob Geldof has given his wayward daughters Pixie and Peaches, an 11pm weekday curfew, which the partying youngsters, seem to be obeying.

Peaches, 19, was quizzed last month by police for allegedly buying drugs and a friend of the socialites claimed that she was called ‘Dyson’ by her pals because she hoovered up so much cocaine on nights out.

Her father is worried that the his girls are partying to hard and this week Peaches cut short a night out after arriving late at ‘The Hospital Club’ while held up in traffic. Somebody told her it was 10.30pm as she went in and Pixie reportedly said “Oh my God, I have to go! If I break my curfew I’m not allowed to any parties for the rest of the week”.

So apparently you only get drunk and take drugs after 11pm at night!
